Please join us for the last Morning Mixer of 2018-19. We will celebrate a successful year with some words from current senior parents. Ask questions of parents who have just been through the college application process! We will also be welcoming parents of incoming freshmen. 

As always, there will be coffee and breakfast foods.

SEM Summer PE

Please complete the following link for SEM Summer PE. Summer PE starts on Monday, June 3rd through Friday, June 21st, 2019, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.

In order to receive credit, you must attend everyday. Bus is not provided.
By completing Summer PE enrollment link you understand the requirements and will attend daily.

Youth Empowered for Success Internships

The Program
YES! Youth Empowered for Success will provide young Texans with meaningful insight into the workings of policymaking and the art of civic engagement. Students will leave with new skills to be applied in their own communities — on campus, online, and in the field when serving others. 
Who Can Apply?
The initial application period for rising seniors (Class of 2020) has ended; however, new spots are now open for rising juniors (Class of 2021).

5th Annual Herrman & Herrman Scholarship

The 5th annual Herrman & Herrman scholarship is now open to Texas students! This year, students are to enter the contest with an array of options – an essay, song, poem, or infographic. Alongside this, they are to nominate a teacher who inspired their creativity. The winning Texas applicant will receive a $2,500 scholarship, and their teacher will receive $1,000 as well. Three Texas winners will be selected, totaling $5,000 in scholarships!

Student Night at the Dallas Holocaust Museum

The Junior Board at the Dallas Holocaust Museum will be holding a speaker event featuring Holocaust Survivor Max Glauben on Sunday, March 31st.  High school and college students are invited to learn about Mr. Glauben’s experiences under Nazi rule and discuss how to be an Upstander, or someone who stands up for the rights of others, in today’s society. The purpose of this speaker event is to educate the youth of today so that they may create a better tomorrow. An optional tour of the museum will be available from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. before the event, and the main program is from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. After Mr. Glauben speaks, students will be invited to break into small discussion groups to talk about the steps they can take to be Upstanders. All high school and college students who are interested are welcome to come to this free event. Free food and parking will be provided. More information here.
