The purposes of the SEM PTSA are to promote the welfare of the SEM students in school and community, to bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth, and to develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and education.
Dear SEM Community:
Welcome to the 2022-23 school year to all of our SEM Families on behalf of your PTSA Board! I have the privilege of serving a second term as your PTSA President and am excited to welcome everyone back to campus in the fall—especially our new incoming Freshman Class of 2026!
Our PTSA goal this year is strengthen the bond between our Parents, Teachers and Students and we invite you to join us in this goal:
Membership is only $15 per person and we encourage Parents, Teachers and Students to join.
There are many benefits to membership primarily, access to our private PTSA Facebook page! This is a GREAT way to stay connected with campus happenings, student opportunities, and the college process. We will also be hosting informative monthly PTSA Community Meetings – most likely to remain virtual until further notice. Meeting dates TBD.
Most importantly, this is YOUR time to show your community how much you care about our school.
Our students have joined a unique high school with a rigorous curriculum. Their hard work shouldn’t end with them. In addition to showing your support through PTSA Membership, Board positions are available to any current members. Please email me directly at email@example.com and I would be happy to discuss open opportunities with you.
I’m looking forward to a great year together and to meeting you all – virtually or in person!
Susan Bonsell, PTSA President 2021-23
