Robotics Qualifier Needs Volunteers and Students Earn Volunteer Hours ~ Los Evaluadores de Robótica Necesita Voluntarios

Sem Robotics Logo

On Saturday December 15th, SEM is hosting a 30 team official qualifying tournament. We first did this last year and it was seen as a premier event that served to underline SEM’s reputation as the place to be for STEM education.

We need to recruit about 60 volunteers to pull this off. SEM robotics teams will be helping run the tournament instead of competing. We are looking for staff, parents and students who would like to contribute their time and expertise to hosting a first-rate event.

Please have patience with the Sign Up process. It involves getting an account and following a few steps. It’s necessary for such a large event involving students. Thank you!

Full details on roles and how to volunteer are on the Iron Reign website:

Congratulations to the Cedar Hill Longhorn football team for winning the 2018 Division 7-6A championship!  Science and Engineering’s own, Offensive Guard, RJ Taylor is a member the team.  The team fought hard and achieved its goal to sit atop its division.

Although no longer in the running for the state championship, the ‘District of Doom’ left it all on the field, with no regrets. Great job RJ and the Cedar Hill Longhorns! Link to the Dallas Morning News story here
